ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Volunteer Digital Publishing & Distribution Coordinator (Spanish Language Focus) to help expand the reach of our books within Spanish-speaking markets and communities. This role is ideal for a fluent Spanish speaker who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with digital tools, and passionate about increasing access to meaningful books for Spanish-speaking readers, educators, libraries, and institutions.

The volunteer will support the uploading, management, and expansion of our digital distribution channels, with a particular focus on Spanish-language titles and platforms that serve Spanish-speaking audiences around the world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Upload and manage Spanish-language book listings across publishing and distribution platforms (e.g., Ingram, VitalSource, and other digital distribution services)
• Ensure metadata accuracy in both Spanish and English where applicable, including titles, descriptions, keywords, categories, and author information
• Research and recommend new Spanish-language and Latin American distribution platforms, educational marketplaces, libraries, and nonprofit networks
• Monitor the quality and consistency of Spanish-language book listings across distribution channels
• Maintain organized records of distribution platforms and title availability
• Collaborate with the publishing team to prioritize Spanish-language releases and updates
• Help improve the discoverability of Spanish-language books through effective metadata and distribution strategies

IDEAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Fluency in Spanish (reading and writing required)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with online platforms and learning new digital systems
• Interest in publishing, books, education, or digital media
• Ability to work independently and follow structured processes
• Experience with publishing or distribution platforms is helpful but not required (training will be provided)
• Familiarity with spreadsheets or basic data tracking is a plus
• Knowledge of Spanish-speaking markets or Latin American publishing ecosystems is an asset
