Social Media Support & Content Creation

We're looking for a volunteer to help shape how Balakun shows up online — across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and our bilingual (English/Ukrainian) newsletter. We're especially hoping to hear from someone from Ukraine who understands, from the inside, what it means to learn a language while your country is under attack.

What you'd actually be doing

• Creating social media posts (graphics, captions, short-form content, templates) for our channels, working within Balakun's brand and voice.
• Helping build out content around language learning for Ukrainians, and Ukrainian culture and history — that give our international audience a real window into Ukrainian culture and identity.
• Contributing to our recurring content series, including student testimonials, matching updates, news and announcements.
• Collaborating with our admin and education teams

Who we're looking for

• Comfortable with (or excited to learn) tools like Canva, meta business suite or similar design tools for social graphics
• Fluent or native-level Ukrainian, enough English to communicate with international volunteers or willing to use translation tools to work together.
• Some familiarity with the emotional texture of language learning as a second-language learner or teacher.
• Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working with a small volunteer team rather than a manager checking in daily
