Give the Gift of being a Guest Chef at Nathalie Salmon House

Do you enjoy cooking? Do you enjoy bringing joy? You or your small group can be a Guest Chefs for low income Seniors at H.O.M.E’s Good Life Senior Residences during the Holiday Season!

Cook and serve Lunch or Dinner for about 8-15 seniors on weekends or holidays and join in the meal.

Bring prepared food, cook from scratch, or order takeout - You’re the Chef!

CTA Red Line : If you are taking the Red Line:

The building is located 2 blocks from the Red Line Jarvis stop.

There is no bus service from the Red Line Jarvis stop.

You can walk East on Jarvis and turn South on Sheridan Road.

Walk one block South to the corner of Sherwin & Sheridan Road.

Cross Sherwin Ave; NSH is the first building on the block. (Look for the orange awning).

CTA BUS: If you are taking the bus:

The #147/DuSable Lakeshore Express Bus will drop you off at the cross section of Sherwin and Sheridan Road.

The building is located on the SW corner of Sherwin and Sheridan Road.

PARKING: If you are driving,

Parking area (in the back alley), all our spaces are currently assigned.

There is a guest space next located next to the back stairs (1st Come, 1st Served).

There is also ample street parking along Sherwin or Sheridan Road.

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with H.O.M.E.! We would not be able to do the work we do without the help of caring volunteers dedicated to serving seniors with warmth, connection, and joy.

H.O.M.E. welcomes volunteers for seasonal and ongoing projects as well as one-time volunteer opportunities.

In the spirit of our mission, H.O.M.E. uses volunteer opportunities to bring generations together. We welcome people of all ages willing to share their various skills and talents.
