WGIRLS is seeking a passionate and dedicated leader to serve as President of our NYC Chapter. This role is ideal for someone who is mission-driven, organized, and interested in building community impact while leading a growing team of volunteers.

Expectations of Board Members:
- Commit to a 2-year term
- Participate in virtual board meetings, respond to WGIRLS communications, and engage in discussions
- Contribute to decision-making processes during board meetings
- Participate actively in fundraising efforts
- Collaborate in good faith with other board members to achieve organizational goals
- Support national campaigns and chapter initiatives
- Represent the organization as a positive ambassador within the community
Responsibilities of NYC Chapter President:
- Lead and oversee all NYC chapter operations, including meetings and events, ensuring alignment with WGIRLS’ national mission and strategy
- Recruit, onboard, and support the NYC chapter board and volunteer members
- Serve as the primary spokesperson and point of contact for the NYC chapter
- Plan and oversee chapter events, fundraisers, and community outreach initiatives in partnership with board members and members
- Partner with the National Board to align local programming with national
- goals
- Monitor chapter budget and fundraising progress in collaboration with the Treasurer
