    SEVA Travelers spend 4 -5 days with the organization (mornings on-site, afternoons exploring--enough time to collect information for the project). They continue the engagement virtually, meeting via Zoom for 1-3 months to complete the deliverable

    By sharing our expertise with NGOs in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), SEVA Travelers’ pro bono consultants, coaches and trainers are empowering the next generation of social entrepreneurs with the skills they need to succeed.

    Pro-bono Consulting Services

    S.E.V.A. Travelers offers great nonprofits in Asia, Latin America, and Africa free consulting services to achieve greater scale and impact. This pro bono support includes:

    • Grant proposal writing (and training staff how to write winning grant proposals)
    • Foundation and corporate funding prospect research
    • Fundraising strategy development
    • Website design and development
    • Social media, marketing, and communications support
    • Fundraising Databases/software
    • Designing Monitoring, Learning & Evaluation systems

    SEVA Travelers has partnered with GlobalGiving to identify great nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries. Together we have reached out to almost a thousand NGOs in the Global South about our suite of pro bono consulting services and the possibility of hosting a SEVA Traveler. Thanks to this exciting partnership, S.E.V.A.     Directions

    SEVA Travelers offers seven host organizations to choose from in Indonesia, spanning the bustling capital of Jakarta, the cultural hub of Bali, and other regions including Bekasi, Kota Tangerang Selatan, and Pemenang. These placements provide volunteers the opportunity to contribute to initiatives focused on education, community development, environmental sustainability, and health care. Volunteers will collaborate with impactful nonprofits that are building long-term organizational capacity through fundraising strategy, grant writing, donor engagement, and communications development, all while experiencing Indonesia’s vibrant cultures and stunning landscapes.

    These vetted and verified NGOs include:

    Happy Hearts Indonesia – Jakarta

    A nonprofit improving access to quality education for children through school rebuilding and educational programs. Volunteers will assist in developing strategies to acquire and retain international donors to expand the organization’s reach and sustainability.

    East Bali Poverty Project – Bali

    Focused on improving the livelihoods of underprivileged communities in East Bali, this organization seeks volunteer support in grant proposal writing, fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and social media communications, particularly on LinkedIn, to better connect with global supporters.

    Yayasan XSProject – Kota Tangerang Selatan

    A youth-focused nonprofit working to provide educational programs and support for children and adolescents. Volunteers will help secure consistent funding, strengthen grant writing capacity, and develop sustainable fundraising approaches to maintain program operations.

    Yayasan Usaha Mulia – Jakarta

    This organization supports community-based education and empowerment programs. Volunteers can participate in program site visits, staff engagement activities, and support organizational logistics, while also providing guidance on building community connections and program visibility.

    Solve Education – Bekasi

    A nonprofit delivering digital education to underserved youth, aiming to strengthen internal fundraising and communications capacity. Volunteers will provide training in grant proposal writing, CRM implementation, marketing strategy, and storytelling to align program impact with funder expectations.

    Yayasan Ekosistem Gili Indah / Gili Eco Trust – Pemenang

    Focused on environmental conservation and community-based projects in the Gili Islands, this organization seeks volunteer support to identify grants, implement fundraising initiatives, and enhance overall donor engagement to sustain multiple ongoing projects.

    Bumi Sehat Foundation – Bali

    A health-focused nonprofit providing maternal and child care services. (Details pending for volunteer consulting projects.)
