    Pro Bono Attorney / Legal Advisor for Survivor-Led Nonprofit

    About Army Pink

    Army Pink is a survivor-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence access safety, support, and the opportunity for lasting freedom.

    Our flagship program, Pathway to Freedom, includes:

    • Freedom Rides – providing safe, reliable transportation to help survivors reach safety.
    • Wellness Portal – supporting healing and rebuilding through recovery resources.
    • Campus Impact – engaging students and communities in awareness and support efforts.
    • Escape Club – building a community of supporters who help sustain the mission.

    We are currently preparing for the launch and growth of these programs and are seeking legal guidance to ensure strong nonprofit governance and compliance.

    Volunteer Opportunity

    Army Pink is seeking a pro bono attorney or legal advisor with experience in nonprofit organizations, social justice initiatives, domestic violence services, or community-based organizations.

    This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and help ensure Army Pink continues building a strong and sustainable legal foundation.

    Areas Where Assistance May Be Needed

    • Nonprofit governance and best practices
    • Review of organizational policies and procedures
    • Volunteer agreements and liability considerations
    • Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and partnership agreements
    • Program compliance considerations related to survivor services
    • Risk management and confidentiality considerations
    • Guidance regarding fundraising, sponsorships, and nonprofit operations
    • General legal questions as the organization grows

    Preferred Experience

    Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

    • 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
    • Social justice organizations
    • Domestic violence or victim service organizations
    • Community service organizations
    • Public interest law
    • Nonprofit startup and growth phases

    Desired Qualities

    • Passion for supporting survivors and community-based solutions
    • Collaborative and mission-driven approach
    • Ability to provide strategic legal guidance
    • Interest in helping build an innovative survivor-led organization

    Time Commitment

    Flexible. We anticipate occasional consultations and document review as needed, with the possibility of serving as an ongoing pro bono advisor.
