    Description

    Hospice Patient Companion

    Provide companionship for hospice patients - This may include (but is not limited to): playing cards, talking, having coffee together, painting nails, braiding hair, assistance with technology, arts and crafts, group activities, light house work. This volunteer opportunity involves driving in and around the San Antonio area. You may work with one patient or more than one!

    Before you begin your service, you will receive comprehensive training around hospice care. You will learn communication skills as well as how to navigate emotional situations surrounding death, loss, and grief.

    Time Commitment: Minimum 2 hrs a month

    Flexibility: Independently form your own schedule

    Location: Main office is off of I-10 / 410 intersection. Service will take place in and around San Antonio. The Volunteer Coordinator will match you with a patient who is close to you.
