    Description

    The org

Legacy Paws is a dog sanctuary founded and run by one person, Domenica. She takes in the dogs nobody else will — the ones other places have given up on — and gives them a permanent home on five acres. Some heal up and go on to adoptive families. The rest stay for good and live out their lives here.

She's also working to get the area's dog rescues to collaborate — sharing dogs, resources, and effort so more of them get saved across the whole region. The vision reaches past her own property line.

People trust Domenica's face and her word, and social media is where most of them meet her first. It's how they find the dogs, decide the place is real, and choose to support it — by adopting, donating, or spreading the word.

We've built a small creative team around her — a creative director and three people making content every week. What we're missing is the person in the middle who keeps it all moving.

    What we need

A Social Media Manager to run the team and the calendar day to day. You'd sit between our Creative Director and a team of three, owning the weekly content so it ships on time, follows the plan, and never goes dark. The Creative Director stays on brand guidelines, high-level strategy, and final creative. You make sure the machine underneath actually runs.

We're on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn now. Once the workflow is solid and content is flowing consistently, we're moving into TikTok and YouTube — you'd help us get there.

    What you'd do

    • Manage a team of three. Assign the work, hold the deadlines, unblock people, and keep everyone shipping.
    • Own the weekly content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Every post is planned against a content pillar, and the pillars are spaced out so we're not stacking the same type of post back to back.
    • Concept posts with the team and the Creative Director, and QA everything before it goes live.
    • Keep the posting rhythm consistent and steady, week after week.
    • Track performance alongside the Creative Director and feed what's working back into the calendar.
    • Help build the workflow that lets us expand into TikTok and YouTube once we've got a real flow going.

    Who this is for

Someone who's run social or content at an agency and knows the difference a real plan makes. You understand that every post has a reason behind it — the right pillar, the right timing, spaced so we're never posting the same tier twice in a row. You can look at an idea and tell whether it has a shot at taking off or whether it's filler. And you can lead three people toward that standard without it turning into chaos.

This is a management seat. The point of the role is that the calendar keeps moving and the team keeps shipping without the Creative Director having to babysit any of it.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 3–5 years at an ad agency or marketing agency, running social or content for real clients.
    • Experience managing people or leading a small content team.
    • A real grasp of content strategy — content pillars, pacing, and post sequencing.
    • An eye for what makes a post take off, and the judgment to kill a weak concept before it ships.
    • Organized and dependable. A calendar you own stays fed.

    Nice to have

    • Fluency across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (where we are now); TikTok and YouTube are next.
    • Comfort reading analytics and turning it into decisions.
    • Meta Business Suite or a scheduling tool you like.

    What you get

Full public credit as the person who ran our social, on our site and in our posts. Real, ownable work for a cause with genuine emotional pull — the kind of team-lead case study that means something when you talk about it in an interview. Direct access to our Creative Director and to Domenica, fast feedback, no committee. Remote, on your own hours, as long as the team and the calendar keep moving.

    The commitment

Remote and ongoing. Flexible hours, but realistically enough to keep three people and a weekly calendar on track — expect it to grow as we scale into TikTok and YouTube.

    What we'll give you upfront

Access to the accounts, our brand guidelines and content pillars, the team and a clear sense of who does what, photos and video of the dogs, and a Creative Director who answers quickly.

To apply, send a short note on the strongest social or content team you've run and what made it work, plus a link to the accounts or campaigns behind it. Tell us how you'd think about spacing content across pillars — that's the part we care about most.
