    Approximately 5–8 hours per week. Minimum 1-year commitment to ensure continuity. Work is cyclical, with a mix of ongoing communications and smaller projects tied to events and campaigns. Flexible and primarily remote.

    Membership in the 100 Women Charitable Foundation ($100 annual contribution) is required to participate. Strong interest in marketing/communications and ability to work independently in a volunteer-led environment.

    Description

    Want to make a real difference in your community? The 100 Women Charitable Foundation is a completely volunteer-run organization serving Silicon Valley, dedicated to raising funds for local nonprofits in Education, Family, and Health & Wellness. Every dollar raised each year is granted directly to organizations serving those in need right here in our community.

    We're looking for community-minded volunteers to join our Marketing and Events coordination teams. The time commitment is flexible and averages just a few hours per week throughout the year -- a small investment with a real impact.

    Purpose: Leads strategy and oversight of marketing and communications efforts across channels, audiences, and organizational priorities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage a cohesive marketing and communications strategy across channels (email platform, website, SMS, social, PR, and direct outreach)
    • Develop and manage marketing and communications calendar
    • Oversee content development and storytelling (newsletter, email, website & social), ensuring clear and compelling communication of the organization’s mission and impact
    • Ensure messaging is appropriately tailored across key audiences (Giving Members, volunteers, community partners)
    • Provide oversight and guidance for the organization’s website and digital communication platforms, ensuring alignment with messaging and Giving Member engagement goals
    • Ensure consistency in messaging, brand, and visual identity across all platforms
    • Provide guidance on communications in support of fundraising and development efforts
    • Coordinate promotion of events and initiatives across channels
    • Provide guidance on communications in sensitive or high-visibility situations as needed, including crisis communications
    • Track and evaluate performance of communications efforts to inform ongoing improvements
    • Provide oversight and direction to communications leadership roles (newsletter, content, social)
    • Partner with Grant Director and Membership & Development Director to communicate grantee impact and organizational outcomes to Giving Members
    • Own and drive PR (Public relations) for organization

    Does Not

    • Create or produce content directly
    • Manage day-to-day social media posting
    • Own membership or events strategy
    • Manage day-to-day member communications — that belongs to the Newsletter Co-Chairs

    • Events & Experience Director

    Keeps Informed: All Board members; Grant Director and Membership & Development Director on communications outcomes
