    Description

    Food Pantry Volunteer

Provide food security to Orleans Parish residents, particularly those in the Lower Ninth Ward. Help our clients put together boxes of groceries for the week as well as distribute fresh produce that we receive on a weekly basis.

Shift is from 9:00am till 3:00pm. The address is 1739 Jourdan Avenue. Bring water and snacks if you need them - there's no defined break in the day, but we definitely want you to stay hydrated and happy!

Please also wear closed-toe shoes. Your tasks might include stocking shelves, moving boxes of food products, and helping clients to "shop" for groceries.
