    Description

    Billing Data Entry Assistant (Virtual)

    My New House is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented volunteer to support our Billing Department through data entry and administrative assistance. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate documentation, timely processing of services, and overall operational efficiency.

    Position Overview:

    The Billing Data Entry Assistant will work closely with our internal team to input, review, and maintain billing-related data in our systems. This is a virtual role, offering flexibility while contributing to meaningful community impact.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enter and update billing and service data accurately into internal systems
    • Review documentation for completeness and compliance
    • Assist in organizing and maintaining digital records
    • Support tracking of claims, services, and follow-up items
    • Communicate with team members regarding missing or unclear information

    Requirements:

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
    • Reliable internet connection for virtual work
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information (HIPAA awareness preferred)
    • Completion of a background check (required due to access to confidential client information)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Interest in healthcare administration, nonprofit operations, or billing processes
    • Students seeking internship experience or individuals interested in long-term volunteering
    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    Training & Support:

    All volunteers will receive structured training, including guidance on systems, documentation standards, and compliance expectations. Ongoing support will be provided by our team.

    Commitment:

    Flexible scheduling available. Preference for individuals who can commit consistently and are interested in growing with the organization over time.
