    Description

Seattle Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis - Event Day Support Needed

Hello! Welcome to the Seattle Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis. This event will be held at beautiful Seward Park in Seattle on Saturday, Sept 26. We appreciate your interest in supporting our event.

We will need volunteers for the following areas: Event set up, registration, snack table, water stations, directions to parking areas, shuttle stop attendants, route assistants, cheer team (cheering walkers on the route), event take down/clean up.

Event shifts vary in length and start times. Please see the link to Volunteer SignUp, to review available shifts. Event set up is the earliest shift and will begin at 7:00 AM. We anticipate beginning take down/clean up at 1:00 PM. Our park rental ends at 2:00 PM.

Please note that you may be asked to move from one area to another as needed. For instance, once set up is complete, if the set up shift would like to help elsewhere they may. If prefered they can choose to end their shift once the task is complete.

We welcome adult volunteers, as well as high school seniors in need of community service hours for graduation. (If you are a high school senior, please email us your contact information, and what school you are with, so that we can be sure we get your form signed off for you).

All roles will require attendance of a brief instructional meeting the week prior to the event, date TBD. Please be sure to ask us if you have any questions.

Dress code: This is a public fundraising walk event. Casual attire is appropriate. Please keep in mind photographs will be taken throughout the event, that may be used in our marketing campaigns. We are expecting volunteer t-shirts to be available for you. In true Seattle style, you may wish to layer depending on the weather of the day.

    Walk Day Agenda:

    9:00 AM - Registration opens

    9:45 AM - Welcome/Mission Moment

    10:00 AM - Step Off /Walk begins

11:15 AM - Walkers should begin to return

11:30 AM - Celebratory social time begins/group photo

Please email: Seattlewalk4pf@gmail.com with any questions. We appreciate your patience, as we are all volunteers, and many of us are employed outside of this event. We will make every effort to respond by the end of day, and at the latest within 24 hours.

    Thank you!
