Details
Description
STAIR-Annapolis, Start The Adventure In Reading, is a twice-weekly, AFTER SCHOOL literacy tutoring program for Anne Arundel County Public School first and second grade students reading below grade level. Tutors work one-on-one with a student for an hour-long session, and we offer our volunteers the flexibility to choose their level of commitment: one day per week, two days per week, or as a substitute on an as-needed basis. STAIR-Annapolis has a site at Four Season Elementary and Waugh Chapel Elementary in Crofton/Gambrills. Both of these sites meet on Monday and Thursdays from 2:30-3:45. The STAIR program runs from early October to early May. We offer a comprehensive introduction and training for all new volunteers.
Please contact volunteer_coordinator@stairannapolis.org for more information and to sign up for the next info session. STAIR will have regular monthly information sessions via Google Meet. The info sessions are 45 minutes and are an overview of the STAIR program.
