Description
The Patient Care Volunteer is to provide friendly visits to hospice patients in whatever setting they call home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly visits, offering emotional support, companionship and supportive listening.
- Provide respite support to family members and/or caregivers.
- Run errands for hospice patients or family caregivers.
- Provide companionship, play music or games, light housekeeping in a religiously and culturally diverse environment.
- Document all visits in a timely manner.
- Communicate any concerns to hospice staff and Volunteer Coordinator.
