    Description

    Hospice of the Central Coast: Patient Care Volunteer

    The Patient Care Volunteer is to provide friendly visits to hospice patients in whatever setting they call home.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide friendly visits, offering emotional support, companionship and supportive listening.
    • Provide respite support to family members and/or caregivers.
    • Run errands for hospice patients or family caregivers.
    • Provide companionship, play music or games, light housekeeping in a religiously and culturally diverse environment.
    • Document all visits in a timely manner.
    • Communicate any concerns to hospice staff and Volunteer Coordinator.
