    Description

    Violence Prevention Hotline General Volunteer

If you cannot volunteer as a counselor to take calls, we still need your help! Here are the following tasks we need volunteers for:

    • Creating promo content to advertise the hotline as a resource. This is one of the most essential roles as it’s instrumental in people calling the line and remembering the number. This involves designing and posting graphics to social media and originating catchy slogans to make the number memorable.
    • Reviewing confidential transcripts to ensure we are delivering quality and identify room for improvement.
    • Outreach and Netowrking: 1) Helping with excel spreadsheets to gather contacts. For instance, you would be given a list of school districts or government agencies to find contact information for to put in an excel sheet. 2) Crafting and/or sending templated emails to contacts.

There is a role for everyone to play in the movement to prevent violence. If the roles above are not a good fit for you, please still reach out. We can put our minds together to brainstorm how you can join our movement as a volunteer and advocate!
