Volunteer Coordinator (Outdoor Nonprofit)

Volunteer Coordinator | PSAR Initiative

We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help organize and support a growing network of volunteers working across many different projects and initiatives. We are a really new non profit that has a lot of interested people who need coordination.

PSAR Initiative focuses on outdoor education, hiking safety, prevention, and helping keep outdoor spaces accessible and open to the public.

This is a people-centered coordination role. We are looking for someone who enjoys communication, organization, follow-through, and helping volunteers stay connected, engaged, and moving forward together.

The role includes:

• communicating with volunteers
• helping onboard new volunteers
• following up with applicants and team members
• helping organize projects and assignments
• assisting with scheduling and coordination
• helping maintain communication across teams
• supporting growth and organization as the nonprofit expands

This role also includes some administrative and organizational work, but the primary focus is volunteer coordination and communication.

We are especially interested in people who:

• enjoy working with people
• communicate well
• are organized and dependable
• are comfortable speaking on the phone or through Zoom
• are interested in outdoor safety, hiking, prevention, education, or related areas
• enjoy helping meaningful projects grow

This is a remote volunteer role with flexible scheduling.
