Nonprofit
Remote Volunteer Grant Writer & Researcher (Flexible / Rural Kentucky Focus) - We Train
Details
Description
About the Role
Indiana Medicaid Help, Inc. is a non-profit dedicated to expanding administrative advocacy, open-access tools, and direct support for individuals navigating healthcare access and public benefit rules.
A central pillar of our mission is removing barriers to participation. We understand that in rural communities—particularly across Appalachian Kentucky—reliable public transit is scarce, distances to municipal hubs are vast, and local volunteer or employment options can be limited. If you are home bound, managing family care giving responsibilities, lacking transportation, or seeking flexible volunteer hours to satisfy community engagement or benefit requirements, this role was built to be fully accessible from home on your own schedule.
We are seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer & Researcher to help identify, organize, and draft funding proposals that sustain our community technology and direct-advocacy services.

- Maintain Grant Tracking: Log application deadlines, requirements, and submission statuses using shared online spreadsheets/tools.
- Collaborate Remotely: Communicate asynchronously via email or brief check-ins to review priorities and progress.
What We Provide You (Our Commitment)
Volunteering should be a mutually beneficial partnership. In exchange for your time and dedication, we provide:

- Digital Marketing Fundamentals: SEO basics, online outreach, and digital communications.
- Programming & Automation with AI: Intro-level coding and automation logic designed to build modern, market-ready technical literacy.
