Volunteer Opportunity: Friendly Visitor & Nature Companion

Setting: Memory Care Community

Are you looking for a meaningful way to support an older adult through companionship and presence? We are seeking a caring volunteer to provide one-on-one visits with a resident of a memory care community.

Volunteer Activities May Include:

• Friendly visits and quiet conversation
• Sharing time outdoors in a safe setting
• Looking through books, magazines, or nature-themed materials
• Providing companionship and social connection
• Offering a calm, supportive presence

Volunteer Qualifications:

• Patient, compassionate, and dependable
• Comfortable interacting with older adults experiencing memory loss or communication challenges
• Able to engage through both verbal and nonverbal communication
• No gender preference

About the Participant: This participant communicates primarily through head nods and gestures but enjoys social connection and companionship. She previously enjoyed reading and spending time outdoors. A volunteer's presence and engagement can help foster meaningful connection and reduce isolation.

Commitment: Flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability.
