Community Canvassing

Are you passionate about local politics? Do you believe that every vote counts in local elections? Do you want to help increase voter turnout in crucial Whatcom County elections?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then this volunteer opportunity is for you!!

Community First Whatcom is looking for passionate community members to go door to door in local neighborhoods helping register their neighbors to vote in this upcoming election! This position is incredibly flexible and can be fit into most schedules. It will require some moderate exercise going from door to door, but its a great way to get your steps in for the day! It's also a fantastic way to get to know your community and have important conversation about local issues.

For instance, we are asking our Bellingham volunteers to carry information about initiative 25-03 (a community led renter protection initiative) with them when they are door knocking. Leaving this literature at peoples doors is a great way to spread awareness about a progressive initiative that will make tangible positive change here in Bellingham!
