Description
Continuum Hospice is seeking volunteer professional barbers and hairdressers with current and valid CA licenses to on occasion cut the hair of hospice patients who are unable to leave their residences. You will receive hospice volunteer training; will go to where the patient lives, and with support of the hospice staff, help bring the patient a sense of dignity through a fresh and attractive haircut. With your particular expertise combined with compassion and kindness, you will make a world of difference to those who are bed or home bound.
- Understanding and supportive of hospice philosophy.
- Compassionate person who is accepting and respectful of people's differences.
- The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to pass background check requirements.
- Have availability to volunteer once or twice a month when a patient needs your services and time.
