    2026 CHELSEA FILM FESTIVAL: LEAD VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

    Head Volunteer Coordinator – Chelsea Film Festival (Unpaid/Volunteer Role)

    We are looking for a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to oversee the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers supporting festival operations. In this role, you will coordinate scheduling, assignments, and on-site logistics to ensure a seamless experience for guests, filmmakers, and staff. As the main point of contact for our volunteer team, you will foster a positive and collaborative environment while aligning team efforts with the festival's mission and values.

    This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about independent film and event management, looking to gain hands-on experience in festival operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Recruit, onboard, and train festival volunteers
    • Create and manage volunteer schedules and assignments
    • Coordinate on-site logistics to support smooth daily operations
    • Act as the primary point of contact for volunteers throughout the festival
    • Resolve day-to-day issues and ensure a positive experience for the team
    • Collaborate with staff and department leads to align volunteer support with festival needs

    Profile:

    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Previous experience in event coordination or volunteer management is a plus
    • Ability to stay calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment
    • Passion for independent film and the festival community
    • Available for the full festival period (October 14–18) and prior planning sessions
