    About ETIV

Founded in 2015 in Itacaré, Bahia, ETIV (Educate, Transform, Integrate, Value) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sustainable development, education, and environmental conservation. Its work focuses on youth development, community integration, and the strengthening of core values such as empathy, respect, honesty, generosity, and care.

Over the past decade, ETIV has consolidated an innovative model of volunteering and cultural exchange, enabling people from around the world to contribute to English education and environmental initiatives while gaining practical experience in teaching, conservation, and community-based development. During this period, the organization has expanded its portfolio to more than 20 educational, cultural, and technological projects, creating meaningful opportunities for personal growth and social inclusion. In 2025, ETIV was officially recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture as a Ponto de Cultura, reaffirming its long-term commitment to education, cultural integration, and community empowerment. Through its actions, ETIV seeks to nurture socially and environmentally responsible citizens, promoting equality, participation, and access to opportunities for all.

    About the volunteering

Volunteers will support the “English as a Second Language” program by preparing and teaching English classes to children, teenagers, and adults of varying proficiency levels. Responsibilities include lesson planning, developing materials, and delivering educational activities, with guidance and support available from a mentor when needed. Interns should have an interest in creating lessons and activities, patience, and a willingness to work with children, while also taking the opportunity to improve their Portuguese skills.
