The Volunteer Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting the administrative functions of the organization.
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff members
- Take and relay accurate messages
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Provide information about the organization and its services
- Support staff with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Dependable and punctual
- Respect for confidentiality and privacy
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email) a plus
- Previous reception or administrative experience is a plus but not required
