    Description

    Seamstress Volunteers for Hospice

Volunteers are the Heart of Hospice & Community Care

"Hospice isn't about dying in the end. It's about living till the end." - HCC Volunteer

Looking for a unique & incredibly rewarding way to serve your local community and make a difference in the lives of others? Hospice & Community Care is seeking volunteers who enjoy sewing to provide blankets & quilts for patients in our care.

We are especially in need of patriotic blankets/quilts, as they are used during Veteran Military Pinning Ceremonies to thank our veteran patients for their service. During the ceremony, these blankets & quilts, which are lovingly made by our Seamstress Volunteers, are draped over the veteran patient, and then kept by the patient and family as a token of our appreciation for their sacrifice.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Jen Horan at (717) 735-2466 or email at jhoran@hospicecommunity.org. For more information about Hospice & Community Care, visit www.hospiceandcommunitycare.org.
