Before you can use some of our more user specific features, like "Adding your Organization" and "Saving Email Alerts", you’ll need to create a personal account connected to an email address. To start the process, click on the “Sign Up” button at the top right of the page for desktop users; for our mobile users, click the button on the top left of the page and then click “Sign Up”.
You now have the option of either linking your Facebook or Google account, or entering your information manually in the provided field. Click the “Sign Up” button when you’re all finished. Now you’ll just need to verify your email address!
*Tip* If you see the Email already in use error when you try to go to the next page, this means at some point that address had been registered to our site. To gain access to the email, go to our I Forgot My Password article to gain access back.
To verify that your email address is correct, we’ll send a confirmation email to the one you provided. It should only take a few minutes, so once you receive the email, just click the link and you’ll be all set! If you don’t receive the verification link, please contact us here so we can help you get set up.
*Tip* If the link says “Invalid” or “Expired,” you may already be verified. To be sure, click on the Idealist logo at the top and if you see your name in the top right corner and listings in the middle, you’re all set!
