As a hospice volunteer, individuals can select their level of involvement and the specific activities they wish to partake in. Common volunteer responsibilities include attentive listening to patient's concerns, providing a comforting and supportive presence, engaging in the patient's hobbies, such as participating in board games or discussing current events, documenting memories for the patient, offering light housekeeping assistance if required, affording caregivers respite, and aiding with administrative tasks at the office.
