Kawandi Magazine is an independent literary magazine dedicated to uplifting the musings and creations of Black writers and visual artists, especially that of emerging storytellers.
We seek to publish writing and visual art that elucidate Black imaginaries in line with the Black literary tradition of our predecessors. We are eternally inspired by grassroots Black publishing before us and believe deeply in the liberatory potential of literature and the arts.
