    Description

    Job Title: Administrative Coordinator for Progressive Advocacy Non-Profit (ASAP, Temporary)

    Duration: April 1 through June (approximate)

    Location: Hybrid- 2 to 3 days in the office in Washington, DC (Farragut North)

    Hourly: $30/h

    The Choice is excited to partner with a premier progressive non-profit that brings together hundreds of partners nationwide to drive voter mobilization, protect voting rights, and advance impactful policy through strategic, data-driven work.

    We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and adaptable Administrative Coordinator to provide temporary support to the Chief of Staff during a critical period. This role is central to ensuring the effectiveness of senior leadership, helping to manage priorities, streamline operations, and support the successful execution of initiatives.     Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and strategically optimize calendar, ensuring alignment with top organizational priorities while proactively resolving scheduling conflicts.
    • Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to triage incoming requests, anticipate needs, and make recommendations that support efficient decision-making and daily operations.
    • Provide on-the-ground support for the organization’s annual summit in April in Washington, DC, assisting with logistics and real-time coordination.
    • Coordinate logistics for high-level meetings and retreats led by the Executive Director and Chief of Staff, including planning, technical support, note-taking, and tracking action items.
    • Process administrative requests such as timesheets and expense reports accurately and efficiently.
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
    • Collaborate effectively across departments to enhance coordination, strengthen operations, and support a culture of teamwork and excellence.
    • Perform additional duties assigned to support leadership and organizational priorities.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Minimum 2 years of administrative support preferably in a non-profit.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities, particularly in managing complex schedules and competing demands.
    • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
    • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
    • Previous experience in administrative, operations, or coordination roles, ideally in a mission-driven or nonprofit setting.

    Additional Requirements

    • Demonstrated alignment with progressive values and commitment to mission-driven work.
    • Availability to provide in-person support in Washington, DC for the April summit.
