    Position Overview

    The Diabetes Foundation is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, trustworthy Data Assistant to support the organization's data management, reporting, and administrative operations. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining accurate participant records, supporting program reporting, ensuring data integrity, managing data systems, and assisting staff with data-related projects.

    The ideal candidate is self-motivated, efficient, a strong problem solver, and comfortable working independently while meeting deadlines. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.

    Primary Responsibilities

      • Enter, update, and maintain participant and program data in multiple databases.
      • Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and tracking systems using Microsoft Excel.
      • Generate routine reports for program staff, management, and funders.
      • Assist with data collection for grants, contracts, and outcome reporting.
      • Review records for inconsistencies and resolve data discrepancies.
      • Organize and maintain electronic files and documentation.
      • Support data quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.
      • Assist with importing and exporting data between systems.
      • Help prepare information for audits, program evaluations, and organizational reporting.
      • Answer incoming phone calls in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner.
      • Direct callers to the appropriate staff member or program and accurately relay messages.
      • Maintain strict confidentiality of participant information in accordance with organizational policies.
      • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned to support organizational needs.
      • Send out and collect impact surveys.

    Qualifications

      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
      • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
      • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
      • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
      • Comfortable learning new databases and software applications.
      • Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills.
      • Professional, friendly, and confident telephone etiquette.
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
      • Previous nonprofit, healthcare, or human services experience is preferred.
      • Spanish language proficiency is a strong plus.

    Compensation: competitive salary.
