Light Upon Light

Our mission? We help differently-abled people through advocacy, accessibility, and equality while changing society’s perception of these honorable individuals through education.

Light Upon Light is a Washington-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where differently-abled people are treated with dignity, respect, accessibility, and equality. Through educational programs, advocacy, mentorship, and community engagement, we work to remove barriers while fostering understanding and inclusion.

We believe differently-abled individuals are far more than their diagnoses or disabilities. They have families, careers, aspirations, ambitions, talents, and goals—just like every other human being. Through education, empathy, and meaningful connection, we strive to help people see their humanity above all else.

Our ultimate goal is for Light Upon Light to one day no longer exist because we have accomplished our mission: building a world where accessibility, inclusion, respect, and equality are no longer aspirations, but simply the way every human being is treated.
