    Sea Scouts is a program of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) for youth aged 14-20, focusing on water-based adventure, leadership, and boating skills like sailing, navigation, and seamanship, with activities on oceans, bays, rivers, and lakes. They learn maritime heritage, water safety, CPR, and can earn certifications, operating in units called "Ships" that emphasize hands-on experience and community service, fostering citizenship and life skills.

    • Partnerships: Has strong ties with organizations like the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, offering specialized training.
    • Focus: Promotes character development, physical fitness, and practical skills through a youth-led, adult-mentored model.

    In essence, Sea Scouts offers high-adventure outdoor experiences centered on watercraft, providing practical skills, leadership opportunities, and a deep connection to maritime traditions for young people.
