USATF Arizona is the Arizona association of USA Track & Field, the national governing body for track and field, cross country, race walking, and long-distance running in the United States. Our mission is to promote and grow the sport of track and field across Arizona while providing safe, well-organized competitions for athletes of all ages.
Our events serve a wide community of participants, including youth athletes, high school competitors, elite athletes, masters athletes, coaches, and local track clubs. Track meets rely heavily on volunteers to help make competition possible. Volunteers assist with roles such as measuring jumps and throws, helping athletes check in for events, recording results, supporting field events, and helping ensure that meets run smoothly and safely.
Many of the athletes we serve are young people who are learning the value of dedication, teamwork, and perseverance through sport. By volunteering at a meet, community members play an important role in creating positive athletic experiences and supporting the development of athletes across Arizona.
USATF Arizona operates primarily as a volunteer-run association with no full-time employees. Events and programs are organized by volunteer officers, certified officials, and community volunteers.
Whether you have a background in track and field or are completely new to the sport, volunteers are welcomed, trained, and greatly appreciated.
