The Red Bird Foundation, Inc. helps neighbors facing urgent hardship receive critical needs quickly, with dignity, compassion, and practical support. Through our Red Bird Hope service, we connect local donors, volunteer Angels, and community resources to help with immediate needs such as emergency food, medication support, critical supplies, hygiene items, transportation assistance, and other urgent essentials.

Our mission is simple: when someone in our community is in crisis today, we help move hope toward them as quickly and carefully as possible.

Red Bird Hope serves neighbors in the Charleston tri-county area who are facing urgent, short-term crises and may not be able to wait days or weeks for traditional services. Many of the people we help are seniors, disabled adults, people without stable housing, working individuals in sudden hardship, people without transportation, and families facing immediate need.

We are a volunteer-driven organization. Donors help fund critical needs, and volunteer Angels help deliver items, coordinate support, and make sure help reaches the person with dignity. Angels may assist with local deliveries, resource coordination, request follow-up, or community outreach, depending on their availability and comfort level.

We are especially seeking more volunteer Angels so we can respond faster when urgent needs come in. Many requests are simple but deeply meaningful: delivering food to someone who cannot reach a pantry, helping get a critical medication filled, bringing hygiene supplies to someone living outside, or helping a neighbor bridge a crisis before it becomes something worse.

Red Bird is built around compassion, speed, dignity, and trust. We believe people in crisis should not have to face hardship alone, and that even a small act of help can carry someone through a very difficult moment.
