To restore hope and transform the lives of vulnerable children in Uganda by breaking down barriers to education, improving health and nutrition, and building resilience through community-driven care, mentorship, and humanitarian support. We believe every child regardless of background, income, or circumstance has the right to be healthy, safe, educated, and empowered to reach their full potential.
CHOCU — Children Helping Other Children in Uganda — is a nonprofit, tax‑exempt charitable organization [501(c)(3)] founded with a simple but powerful vision: to serve one community at a time, starting with children in rural Uganda, and to create lasting change that ripples outward.
We were established to address the urgent and complex challenges faced by children in rural Uganda: lack of access to quality education, malnutrition, preventable illness, unsafe living conditions, and the absence of consistent support systems. Our work is rooted in the belief that when children are given the tools, care, and opportunities they deserve, they can break cycles of poverty and become leaders in their own communities.

What We Do
How We Work
We combine local insight with international partnerships to ensure resources are used effectively. Our approach is hands‑on: from clearing containers at Mombasa to delivering shoes to a child in Butenzi Primary School, we manage the full chain of care. We measure success not just in goods delivered, but in lives changed — children staying in school, families becoming more self‑reliant, and communities gaining the tools to thrive.
