Project MARS

Project MARS is a student-led nonprofit initiative dedicated to expanding equitable access to STEM research, mentorship, and scientific education opportunities for students worldwide. Our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators by helping students explore research, develop critical thinking skills, and pursue meaningful scientific work regardless of their background, location, or prior experience.

We serve middle school, high school, and early undergraduate students who are passionate about STEM but may lack access to mentorship, research opportunities, or academic support. Through mentorship programs, fellowships, workshops, outreach events, and collaborative projects, we aim to make scientific research more accessible, approachable, and community-driven.

Our organization is built on the values of accessibility, collaboration, curiosity, innovation, and impact. We believe that talent exists everywhere, but opportunities do not; we strive to bridge that gap by connecting students with mentors, educational resources, and real-world research experiences.

Project MARS currently supports students across multiple states through individualized mentorship, interdisciplinary research guidance, science communication initiatives, and partnerships with other youth-led organizations and STEM advocates. We also encourage students to apply science toward solving real-world challenges in healthcare, biotechnology, public health, engineering, and social impact.

By fostering a supportive and collaborative environment, Project MARS aims to build a global community of student researchers who are empowered to learn, lead, and create meaningful change through STEM.
