American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- HudsonValley/Westchester Chapter

  • Mission

To save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

    About Us

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) HudsonValley/Westchester Chapter serves Westchester, Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Rockland, Putnam, and Sullivan counties. We are a volunteer-driven chapter led by one full-time staff member and a dedicated team of community leaders committed to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.

We provide suicide prevention education programs, support those impacted by suicide loss, advocate for lifesaving public policy, and host Out of the Darkness Walks and other community events that raise awareness and critical funds.

Our work is rooted in the belief that suicide is preventable, mental health matters, and strong community partnerships are essential to creating lasting change. Volunteers are the heart of everything we do.
