Conversations in Color is a grassroots organization dedicated to providing uplifting and community building spaces of dialogue for Black voices.

Conversations in Color is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating uplifting, community-building spaces where Black voices are heard, valued, and preserved through dialogue and storytelling.

Our work centers lived experience. We provide platforms for individuals and communities to share personal stories, cultural perspectives, and reflections that are often overlooked or misrepresented. By making space for open conversation, we help challenge stereotypes, expand understanding, and affirm the diversity within Black communities.

Through virtual programming, digital storytelling initiatives, and community partnerships, Conversations in Color amplifies everyday voices, including educators, students, artists, organizers, entrepreneurs, and neighbors whose experiences shape culture and community life.

We believe access to storytelling spaces should never be limited by income, background, or resources. Our initiatives are designed to be inclusive, relationship-driven, and rooted in respect for lived experience. By fostering dialogue across generations and communities, we work to strengthen connection, build understanding, and celebrate the richness of Black voices in all their forms.
