Harriman Programs is a nonprofit youth development organization dedicated to helping young people thrive, grow, and build the skills they need to succeed in school, in their communities, and in life.

For more than a decade, Harriman has partnered with schools, families, and communities across New York City to provide high-quality youth programming that supports the whole child. Our work includes after-school and summer programming, academic enrichment, financial literacy, sports and wellness, performing arts, leadership development, and other opportunities that help young people discover their strengths and reach their potential.

We primarily serve children and youth in communities across Brooklyn and Queens, with a particular commitment to ensuring that young people have access to meaningful opportunities regardless of their circumstances. We believe every young person deserves safe, supportive spaces where they are seen, valued, challenged, and encouraged to lead.

Our values are rooted in excellence, integrity, opportunity, relationships, and service. We believe the magic is in the work, building strong relationships with young people, families, educators, and community partners and creating programs that produce meaningful outcomes.

As Harriman continues to grow, we are expanding beyond traditional youth programming into areas including financial literacy, mental health and counseling, early childhood, sports, performing arts, high school programming, and other innovative initiatives designed to address the evolving needs of young people and families.
