Strange Incorporated

Strange Inc. cultivates peace-driven creativity within the Muslim community by building institutional structures that support restorative artistry, disciplined expression, and right order in creative work. We publish Muslim authors, run faith-rooted formation workshops, host an annual public gathering in Queens, award grants to emerging Muslim creatives, and develop platforms that serve Muslim readers and writers. Strange Inc. is a Queens-based nonprofit institution — not a collective, not a community group, but a structured institution with governance, programs, and a long-term commitment to Muslim creative life in New York City.

We serve Muslim artists, writers, educators, and thinkers who are serious about their creative work and lack access to the institutional support other creative communities take for granted. Our programs address the full arc of creative life — from inner formation to public offering.

Our programs include Strange Inc. Press (literary publishing), The Creative Path (faith-rooted formation workshops), Muslim Creatives Fest (annual public gathering in Queens), the Beautiful Seeds Grant ($1,000 annual microgrant), the Creative Excellence Awards, and Halal Reads (literary review platform).

Our aim is not debate or visibility for its own sake. Our aim is clarity, responsibility, and cultural repair — through work that is rightly ordered, carefully held, and built to last.
