The Mission of IOCC is to respond to the call of our Lord Jesus Christ, to Minister to those who are suffering and are in need throughout the world, sharing with them God's Gifts of Food, Shelter, Economic Self-Sufficiency and Hope. The mission of IOCC is global. No matter the location, all programs are developed in consultation with local communities, Church leaders, and local and international authorities. With your help, IOCC is currently making a difference in the U.S., as well as Federal Republic of Yugoslavia • Republika Srpska (Bosnia-Herzegovina) • Republic of Georgia • Russian Federation • Albania • Jerusalem/West Bank • Greece.

In response to a need expressed by members of our Orthodox Christian community, International Orthodox Christian Charities, Inc. (IOCC) was established in March 1992 as the official international humanitarian organization of the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas (SCOBA). In seeking to provide assistance to the poor, either in response to emergencies or long term socio-economic development needs, IOCC's fundamental policy is to develop a sustainable indigenous capacity to carry out such programs. All programs are guided by the two goals of program integrity and the highest standards of stewardship to donors. IOCC's mandate is to undertake purely humanitarian activities. Thus, IOCC does not support programs of Church mission (Church reconstruction, religious education, seminary support, etc.). At the invitation of Orthodox churches, IOCC assists some of the most vulnerable people in the world: Orphans • Refugees and Displaced Persons • Elderly • Children • Single parent families • Individuals with Disabilities • Hospitals & Schools. In all programs administered by IOCC, assistance is provided solely on the basis of need.
