Shrimp Welfare Project is an independent nonprofit dedicated to improving animal welfare in the global shrimp farming sector. We work directly with shrimp producers worldwide, supporting them in improving their farming, harvesting, and slaughter practices.
Our mission is to improve the welfare of billions of shrimps, in the most cost-effective way possible. To achieve this, we have the following interventions:
Shrimp Welfare Project is an ACE Recommended Charity in the Effective Altruism space. Effective Altruism (EA) and the idea that sentient beings deserve consideration are the core values that our team shares.
