  • Mission

To restore hope and provide a sustainable future for children of incarcerated parents in Tanzania. We strive to break the cycle of crime and poverty through quality education, nutritional support, and holistic rehabilitation, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive despite their family circumstances

    About Us

Good News Jail and Prison Ministry Tanzania is a grassroots organization dedicated to serving one of the most forgotten groups in our society: incarcerated individuals and their children. Based in Mbeya, we operate with a deep conviction that a parent's mistake should not dictate a child's future.

Whom We Serve: We focus on children of prisoners who face extreme poverty, stigma, and the risk of falling into crime. We currently support over 50 children by providing school fees, uniforms, and nutritional support to keep them in school and out of trouble.

    Our Values:

    • Restoration: We believe in second chances for inmates and a fresh start for their families.
    • Integrity: We maintain high standards of transparency in our operations (Reg: S.A 20205).
    • Compassion: Our work is driven by a heart for service and social justice.

Our Impact: Beyond education, we provide life-skills training and spiritual guidance to help families reunite and rebuild after a prison sentence. By supporting the family unit, we are effectively reducing recidivism and building a safer, more resilient community in Tanzania."
