Ready Rochester

Ready Rochester strengthens community resilience in the Rochester, NY area by connecting residents with practical preparedness education, volunteer opportunities, and lifesaving skills training. We support local emergency readiness by helping everyday people feel more informed, capable, and connected before disasters or emergencies happen.

Ready Rochester is a community-based nonprofit focused on making emergency preparedness more accessible, approachable, and locally relevant.

We were formed by local CERT graduates who wanted to keep community preparedness momentum going beyond formal training. Our work supports Rochester-area residents by promoting free and low-cost preparedness education, hands-on safety trainings, volunteer engagement, and connections to trusted local resources.

Ready Rochester helps bridge the gap between community members, local emergency response partners, and preparedness programs. We share opportunities such as CPR, STOP THE BLEED, CERT-related trainings, disaster preparedness workshops, public safety resources, and community resilience events.

Our goal is to help more people build confidence in the basics: how to respond in an emergency, how to help a neighbor, how to stay informed, and how to get involved before a crisis happens.

We believe preparedness works best when it is community-first, practical, and accessible to people of all backgrounds, experience levels, and schedules.
