Everybody Gets To Eat Foundation Inc.

  • Mission

To provide free creative arts and mental wellness programming to underserved youth, helping children rebuild focus, calm, and self-expression in a world dominated by screens.

    About Us

Everybody Gets To Eat Foundation Inc. is a Jacksonville-based 501(c)(3) founded by Derrick Brown, a 27-year military veteran who has led over 70 humanitarian projects worldwide, impacting more than 7,000 children and families across five countries.

Our signature program, The Mandala Challenge, delivers free monthly workshops where youth ages 5-18 create mandala artwork while learning mindfulness techniques including guided breathing, focus, and emotional regulation. We provide all supplies, curriculum, and training at no cost to partner sites.

We believe every child deserves a moment of peace in a world designed to steal their attention. Our screen-free workshops give kids something social media cannot: the ability to slow down, focus, and create something beautiful with their own hands.

We are currently partnered with the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation, a 30-year institution serving 200+ youth daily in Jacksonville's Urban Core. Our pilot launches May 2026.

We welcome volunteers who are passionate about youth development, creative arts, mindfulness, and community impact.
