Our mission is to proclaim the good news by our very being, directing our entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent. Compelled by the urgent crises of our times, we commit to actions that deepen our relationships of communion, wherever we are. We are a Laudato Si’ congregation and NGO at the United Nations. Striving to be credible witnesses of universal communion, we transform the world through education in its broadest sense.

The School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) is an international congregation of women religious, founded in Bavaria. SSNDs live and minister on five continents, with international offices in Rome. The Atlantic-Midwest province, with its provincial offices in Baltimore, serves in the areas of Baltimore, Chicago, Connecticut, Canada, and England.
