  • Mission

Different Mindset, Inc. empowers immigrant women, survivors of abuse, divorced women, and women with disabilities by helping them find resources, navigate community systems, and access essential support services. We are committed to guiding women through complex housing, safety, health, and benefits systems so they can achieve stability, confidence, and independence.

    About Us

Different Mindset, Inc. is a women-centered nonprofit based in Prince George’s County, Maryland. We do not provide housing or direct services — instead, we specialize in helping women find the right resources, apply for programs, and understand the systems designed to support them.

    We serve:

    • Immigrant women
    • Women with disabilities
    • Survivors of domestic abuse
    • Divorced women
    • Women facing crisis, homelessness, or instability

    Our work includes:

    • Housing navigation support
    • Resource referrals (benefits, legal help, mental health)
    • Safety planning and crisis guidance
    • Community connections
    • Application support for government and local programs
    • Advocacy and empowerment coaching

Our organization was founded by an immigrant woman who deeply understands the challenges many women face when trying to rebuild their lives. Everything we do is grounded in compassion, dignity, cultural understanding, and empowerment.

Different Mindset, Inc. is committed to ensuring that no woman feels lost, alone, or unsupported while trying to access the help she needs.
