BREASTFEEDING OUTREACH FOR OUR BEAUTIFUL SISTERS-BOOBS

  • Mission

Our mission is to protect against infant mortality and morbidity via prenatal and postnatal support to African American women and low-income mothers. Our program values that are central to working in the community are cultural congruency, cultural competence, empowerment, and collaboration. We aim to "Eliminate health disparities, achieve health equity, and help to improve the health and well-being of all" focusing on increasing breastfeeding rates among African American mothers.

    About Us

Breastfeeding Outreach for Our Beautiful Sisters is a community based nonprofit program located in Cincinnati, OH that is dedicated to the maternal and child health of minority mothers and babies in the community. Our organization has provided health education intervention sessions to over 1,000 (new case) pregnant mothers and new mothers in the community for over seven years. We work towards more visibility in the community. One of our goals is to go out into the community and participate in various health care fairs, community events and social events that are aimed towards eliminating health disparities.
