Our mission: To ensure that every older adult has the opportunity to live a full life of connection and purpose in a dynamic, supportive environment.

2Life Communities has created positive change in senior housing for more than 60 years. We believe every older person deserves to age with purpose and joy, no matter their income, background, or circumstance.

But the ground beneath our seniors is crumbling.

Massachusetts has the highest rate of economic insecurity among older adults in the nation, yet seniors everywhere face desperate choices between paying for rent or medication, food or heat. Public health research shows that isolation and loneliness make a bad situation worse, putting seniors’ physical and mental health at risk. As our population continues to age, the problems will only increase.

2Life addresses this crisis by developing, managing, and advocating for high-quality affordable housing and services that help ease financial, physical, and emotional stress for seniors and their families.

We create communities where older people live in housing they can afford, surrounded by services they need, in a connected environment. We call our approach aging in community.
