    About Us

Detroit Riverfront Rangers is a Detroit-based nonprofit organization focused on empowering youth and families through outdoor education, environmental awareness, recreation, and community engagement. We proudly serve diverse and underserved communities throughout Detroit, especially along the riverfront and Southwest Detroit neighborhoods.

Our programs combine fishing, STEM learning, water stewardship, mentorship, arts, culture, wellness and community service to create meaningful experiences that promote growth, confidence, and connection. Through initiatives such as community fish days, water cleanup events, stewardship projects, after-school programs, cultural celebrations and outdoor recreation activities, we aim to build stronger communities while encouraging environmental responsibility and leadership among youth.

We believe every child and family deserves access to safe outdoor spaces, positive mentorship and opportunities that inspire hope, healing, and lifelong learning.
