Tired Dog Rescue

Tired Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs — as well as those whose owners can no longer care for them. While we assist dogs of all sizes from various locations, our primary focus is on dogs 20 pounds or less along the Gulf Coast.

Before any dog is placed for adoption, we ensure they receive comprehensive veterinary care so every dog begins their new life healthy and ready for a loving home.

We are a small organization taking in about 200 dogs a year. We have been rescuing abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs along the Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana Gulf Coast since 2008. We also help low-income families with food and vet care when funds allow to try and keep them from having to surrender the animals due to financial reasons.
